How to print paste-ups and send them aboard

Paste Up wall in Berlin

So you’ve got your artwork ready and want to create a paste-up.
Now what?

First, get them printed…

For any full-colour designs, I recommend using an outdoor posters company.  They can do up to 24 sheets, 6 sheets or A0 down to 30x40” Contact me if you want to know the UK based company I use.

You will be able to specify what size you want and what orientation you need. I find it more cost-effective to print on a large format and fit more than 1 designs into that one space. For example, an A0 poster can fit four a2 posters. This will saves you money compared to having 4 separate 02 posters printed

Don't forget to always put your name clearly on your piece, so people can find out who you are rather than guessing!

If size isn’t an issue, then make sure you check the postage, package size & what the cost will be. This will depend on what price you're willing to pay. Anything under 90 cm long in a tube will be regarded as a small parcel anything, Anything over that size will be regarded as a medium-size parcel and that can double the price of your postage. I learnt this the hard way, so you don’t have too.

Definitely bubblewrap to the top and tail of your tube. This will help protect your paste-ups from damaging its edges and sellotape the lids shut. These lids can easily fall off if you don’t.

A nice touch is to include a brief page about yourself, in whatever language the country you are sending to. This should include your bio, a photo of you and what your work stands for including any publications you have been in, your website URL and Instagram handle.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing your work pasted-up around the world.
