London International Paste Up Festival

London’s International Paste Up festival debuted in Britain Art capital; Shoreditch over a brisk November sky, with over a million spectators.

I and 200 other artists from around the world had our art pasted on the walls of London. Each site was a playful wash of colour and forms. They were displayed together in large collages, interacting with each other while telling their own story.…

…AND, these collages were BIG. Some were as large as a 48 sheets (if you know what I mean) and it took a group of people to lift it up into place. The festival’s main spots were located in the Old Street and Shoreditch areas, like Drysdale Street, Bateman’s Row, Dereham Place, and Dereham Street.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t around to see this in person. I was hanging out in Greece working on my own art projects (See Mural in the Sun blog) But before I flew out, I did take part in a short documentary created for and about the festival, in which artist Le Spleen interviewed some of us, paste-up artists taking part. (See below)

Here is a list of the artists whose work you might have seen pasted in this festival: Donk, Luap, Zombiesque, WRDSMTH, Daddy Street Fox, ProHeroes, Black Dove, Sten and Oli, Soul’D, 0rrible, Bentoghoul, Captain Eyeliner, D7606, Knapple, YaYa, Neon Savage, Pure Evil, Yorgos, Corrosive8, 7th Pencil, JWolf, BlackDove, Mr Edwards, Cris Rwk, Cokemoss, Planet Selfie, Jd Montaigne… among others.

The festival is organised by Art House Project London and Outside the Zone Gallery. Filmed by Le Spleen.
