How to uncurl your print
You have shopped my site and spent hours determining which art piece to purchase. Once you've selected that awesome piece of art you think will fit perfectly between your sofa and mid-century modern sideboard, you sit back and wait patiently for your beautiful one of a kind print to arrive in the mail.
A week or two later it arrives! It's packaged in a sturdy triangular tube and that beautiful print is inside waiting to be revealed. But wait! You have concerns about opening your precious art piece because you are overly paranoid about crushing it or bending it. Well don’t worry, this detailed step by step guide to opening your print will help ease your worries. I have 2 options to make it way easy for you.
Option 1
Step one: Slice off the taped end which says ‘This way up’ and pull the end open.
Step two: Remove the tissue padding which is there to help protect the edges. Tip the tube over so you can see the print edge. Lightly shake downward so that the print moves toward the edge where you can gently pinch it to extract it from the tube.
Step three: Once removed, carefully slide the ribbon and information sheet off the rolled piece. (There’s also a handwritten note and my business card with all my social details for you)
Step four: Lay the print face up on a clean flat surface with the tissue laid on top. Take the cylinder mailing tube that was shipped to you and set it down to one side of the face-up print. Next, carefully roll the tube while wrapping the print around it.
Step five: Wrap the information sheet (that came with the print) on top of both, the print and the tube, then with the ribbon or an elastic band wrap securely in place. Leave for 1 hour
Option 2
If you find step 4 too much of a risk you can alternatively use these things called books. Carefully roll out your print on a clean flat table. Put the tissue on top of the print to protect it and then place clean heavy flat items like books on either end of the poster.
Then sit back and relax while watching re-runs of 100 all night long. This option takes approximately 24 hrs.
